Foremost Focal: Focusing on your designs

Welcome to our new Focal Sets Category!  Here you'll find lots of great bead groups that you can make into a bracelet or collage to serve as the focal point for a necklace.   We've included one of our own designs here to show you one way you can make use of these focal sets.  Using FCS011, we added faceted firepolish rounds and faceted apatite rondelles to create the strand and finished it with a heart toggle.   We'd love to see your focal set designs.  Email us a photo at info@foremostfocal.com.

Click image for detail view Glass/Dichroic glass: You won't have to choose sides with Sara Creekmore's dichroic glass squares. The 5 lovely beads are periwinkle blue with flashes of pink and green which appear on both sides with a layer of solid blue in the middle. Holes run through the middle. 15mm square (9/16" square) Miyuki Delica: 730, 167, 1345, 1304 Design Idea: Create a flat band of seed beads using your choice of technique (peyote, square, etc.) and then add these to the top of the band. These could also be used strung into a necklace with dyed pearls and other glass beads.

Click image for detail view Glass: The 2 colors we think of when thinking of falling leaves. The orange and yellow of this set will brighten even an overcast October day. Four golden rondelles have curls and dots of orange and the 5 bumpy pears share both colors. Rondelle holes run side-toside, bumpies go top-to bottom. Rondelles: 9mm x 17mm (3/8" x 11/16") Bumpy pears: 11mm x 10mm (7/16" x 3/8") Miyuki Delicas: 744, 65 Design idea: If you want to tone down the colors use aragonite for the strand. Green is a good contrast.
